I had a really good conversation with Paula Lamont at Prospect this morning who thinks there is plenty of potential for a museums and heritage freelancers branch of the union. Paula is going to talk to Prospect’s senior management, and we are going to meet again in January to take it forward. Watch this space!

I am doing a quick survey of what type of work self-employed people working in museums and heritage do, and for which types of organisations. It’s is to help me chat to the heritage branch of Bectu / Prospect who are interested to know if they can offer support. I’ll do another post on how this has come about shortly.
